Diversity, Equity, Inclusion,
and Belonging
Equity work is at the heart of Hansa Patel’s personal and professional journey. She has devoted years to studying and practicing approaches that advance inclusion, belonging, and justice and most recently completed a year-long Whole Systemic Transformation training with Niyonu Spann at Beyond Diversity 101.
Hansa maintains a strong and ongoing commitment to enhancing diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and accessibility across her mediation, training, and mindfulness work. She actively welcomes, listens to, and respects people of all cultures, races, genders, religions, abilities, and socio-economic backgrounds and centers equity-centered mediation and culturally responsive mediation in her practice.
Through mediation, mindfulness teaching, and community engagement, Hansa integrates DEIB conflict resolution, trauma-informed mediation, and reflective practice to foster belonging and empowerment for every individual. Her trainings include youth equity and bias training and experiential mediation training that help teams and leaders translate DEI-informed communication into practical change.
Hansa believes varied perspectives generate deeper understanding and more creative solutions to complex challenges. By combining mindfulness-based mediation, restorative conflict resolution, and reflective debrief practice, she supports organizations, courts, and communities to build inclusive processes where people feel seen, heard, and able to participate with agency.
“Real change in the world will only come from a change of heart.”
